How to Opt-Out of SmartBackgroundChecks in 2022

1. Go to www.smartbackgroundchecks.com.

2. On the bottom of the page click the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link.

3. Enter the email address you are using for your opt out, check the box, complete the captcha, and click the "Accept Terms and Start Removal" button.

4. Click the "Search Features" link

5. Enter your first and last names, then city and state. Click the search button.

6. When you find your record, click the link to your profile.

7. Click the "Request my Record to be removed" button.

8. Check your inbox for the confirmation email then click the removal link (or copy and paste it into your browser).

9. Success! You have submitted your removal request successfully.
